Hey hey hey! It's sunday which means I'm not going to put much effort into this update... so here's a small list of things that keep me up at night.
If you've been deaf all your life, do you hear anything in your dreams
And for that matter; if you've been BLIND all your life do you even see dreams?
Why can we never see pigeons when they're young.
Why is it so easy to remember the things I would like to forget?
Okay your turn!
I am always up at night tossing and turning. Just thinking of random shit too lol
ReplyDeleteI think blind people dream in sounds.
ReplyDeleteBecause the things you remember hurt you or changed you in some way or another. Life is about pain, and change, and seeing eachother as the same. We are all human.
ReplyDeleteI think about my school work :(

if we know for certain a "god" "exists" then we wouldn't need faith, would we?
ReplyDeleteif said "god" didn't exist then nothing in life would matter.
if faith has nothing to do with it, why would he hide himself from us? if faith does has something to do with it, why are we being tested?
why was so much historical facts omitted from the bible, like the names of people and their name changes. these same name changes are documented in Egyptian hieroglyphs yet not in the bible.
the bible was obviously written by men, but how many of these men decided to add their own ideas into it. why don't the "believers" see this and why do they allow themselves to be lead astray...
fuck it im going to sleep.
i just think about my life and were i want it to go. trying to better myself.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if not self-concious animals (those that do not recognize themselves in a mirror) have any dreams... my cat sometimes looks like it's having a nightmare :(
ReplyDeletenice :) I just dont have anything similar on my mind :) but nice input about dreams..
ReplyDeletedeep stuff, keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteVery cool!
ReplyDeleteoddly the only things that really keep me up at night are worrying about work/school. and my calculus homework! XD
ReplyDeletemostly relationship stuff and schoolwork i guess
ReplyDeleteGeneral shit that happened during the day. Oh and insomnia
ReplyDeleteYou're all breaking my brain.
ReplyDeleteWhat tomorrow is going to be like, what the future in general is going to be like...
ReplyDeleteHow come none here can't stop thinking about polar bears for about 2 mins after reading my comment? :D
ReplyDeleteThere's supposedly a bunch of interesting neuroscience behind the blind/deaf stuff.
ReplyDeleteI think it's possible to stimulate the sensory areas of the brains of disabled people to allow them to see or hear or what have you...
but that is only if that part of the brain is still functioning. So whether or not they DREAM that way probably depends on some similar criteria.
When you're deaf you don't hear anything. "hearing" doesn't mean anything to you and you have no idea what it is.
ReplyDeleteIf you were born deaf that is...if a person recently became deaf then I believe they can hear with their mind.
How im going to get out of this dump
ReplyDeletelol, try not to think too hard on the philosophical stuff, it'll just mess with you!
ReplyDeleteI'd imagine you'd dream about textures or colours and stuff.. anyways I just find it hard to switch off sometimes :P
ReplyDeleteI've heard that blind people can see in their dreams. but, otherwise, I dunno...
ReplyDeleteIt's to easy to forget what I want to remember :/
